Abstract: The revision of type material of Lasiobolidium spirale, type of the genus Lasiobolidium, is presented and illustrated with colour photographs for the first time. We also present the discovery of a new species, named Lasiobolidium mercantourense. Morphological and molecular data of this species are given, as well as a comparison with closest species. Finally, an updated key to Lasiobolidium is provided.
