Abstract: Description and illustrations of a new species of Peziza, P. montirivicola, are given. It is characterized by its habitat and its occurrence on very wet substrates, stipitate apothecia, with a very granular receptacle, ascospores surrounded with a hyaline gel coating, and its paraphyses with yellow oil drops
