Abstract: Cheilymenia laevispora sp. nov. is described and illustrated as a new coprophilous species collected in alpine zone. The distinct cellular structures composing the layers of the flesh and the smooth spores, confirmed by SEM pictures, place this species in the section Villosae J. Moravec. The new series Brevipilae is proposed to take into account the peculiar nature of the hairs
