Abstract: Lazuardia lobata is an uncommon discomycete, known from tropical or subtropical areas, rarely cited in literature. A late discovery of this species on the Island of Mayotte provides an opportunity to propose a full description, along with microscopic drawings and colored illustrations. A brief history of this taxon is provided and its systematics is also discussed
