Abstract: The genus Aeruginoscyphus gen. nov. (Hyaloscyphaceae) is proposed to classify Peziza sericea Alb. & Schwein. A new combination is thus introduced. Its features are compared with taxonomic characters of the close Hyaloscyphaceae genera. Aeruginoscyphus sericeus is described and illustrated
