Abstract: The authors describe and illustrate a remarkable form of Verpa bohemica. It was named V. bohemica var. pallida by Pilát and Svrček at the end of 1960’s. After an overwiew of the distribution of this form, the authors venture hypothesis on the unusual pigmentation for this fungus
