Abstract: This note represents the synthesis of a discussion on the Internet forum Mycologia Europaea and its conclusions about a nomenclatural change of the name of the genus Tarzetta (Cooke) Lambotte to the benefit of the spelling Tazzetta. A brief history of the genus is given and the arguments against this modification are developed
