Abstract: The violet or purplish brown species of the genus Daleomyces are presented in detail and illustrated with recent European collections, including D. exogelatinosus, D. halophilus, D. petersii, as well as five new species: D. bicolor, D. briffae, D. brunneoviolaceus, D. brunnescens and D. stictisporus. The anamorphic species Peziza ligni is also combined in the genus Daleomyces. Based on ITS and LSU sequences, a phylogeny is proposed and commented. Finally, a determination key of European known Daleomyces is provided.
