Tirmania nivea (Desf.) Trappe, Trans. Brit. Mycol. Soc., 57 (1): 88 (1971).

 

Basionym Tuber niveum Desf., Fl. atl. hist. plant., 2: 436 (1799).

Diagnosis Tuber globosum vel pyriforme, cortice et carne albidis. Hanc speciem, lævem, globosam, quandoque pyriformem, intus et extus albidam in arenis deserti observavi, distinctam ab Europæa. Edulis etiam et optima.
