Diagnosis Apothecia breviter stipitatae, cyathoideae vel cupuliformes, alba vel cremeo-alba, 1–5 cm lat., stipite radicanti. Asci cylindracei, 300–350 × 12,5–13,5 µ, octospori, uniseriati. Sporae ellipsoideae, guttulatae, glabrae, 21–26(–29) × 10–13 µ. Paraphysis filiformes. In ligno putrido, rare ad terram crescit.< br />S. occidentalis similis, colorem album differt.
