Diagnosis Ab aspecto primo S. austriacae similis, sed ascosporae magnitudine et guttularum magnitudine numeroque in ascospora insigniter differens. Sporae minores (18-24 µm long) et modo 2 guttulae magnae (2-3 µm diam) polares praesentes vice statui spumosi in S. austriaca praesentis. Cupularum magnitudo multo minor, magnitudine cupulae maturae 1-4 mm. Sarcoscypha austriacae dissimiliter, sporae nullae hic conidia parientes. Setti in receptaculo non cripati ut in S. austriaca sed modo leviter undulati. (Nomen Richard A. Humber honorat.)
