Diagnosis Apothecia 10–60 × 15–50 mm stalked, cupulate, turbinate to flat. Hymenium olive-brown. Margin circular or wavy, raised, serrated. Receptacle strongly granular to furfuraceous. Flesh not exuding latex when cut. Asci 271–457 × 14–23 µm, J+, base with crozier. Ascospores 21–26.3 (–27.2) × 9.51–12.3 (–13.2) µm coated with a spheroidal gelatinous mass. Paraphyses containing 2–6 or more yellow drops. Medullary excipulum stratified in two layers. Ectal excipulum of textura globulosa to t. globulosa-angularis, composed of spherical cells with depostis of gray-brown pigment. External hairs hyphoid, hyaline, straight or curved, branched. Habitat: lignicolous, in mountain streams or near them.
