Diagnosis Ascocarpia usque ad 30 × 13 × 15 mm, profunde sulcata. Peridium glabrum, album, lutescens. Loculi magnum, cavus. Asci cylindrici, octospori, amyloidei (fortissime ad apices), ad apices indentati. Sporae ellipsoideae, 13-17(-19) × 10-13 µm, ornamentis verrucarum ≤ 0.2 µm, hyalinae, uniguttulatum. Paraphyses 6-8 µm in diam., apicibus clavatis. Holotypus: USA, Utah: Kane Co., 22 May 1995, Fogel F4968 (MICH).
