Diagnosis Apothecia sparsa ad gregaria, parva, 480–550 µ alta, 250–275 µ lata, setosa, piriformia, alba ad subflavida, monasca; excipulum cum textura angulare ad eqidermoideam constitutum a duobus rectangularium cellarum stratis, 5–10 × 12–25 µ in marginis sed a compluribus magnarium cellarum, 20–25 µ, globosarum cellarum stratis in base, setae duobus typis, magnae, eseptate, cum bulbosis pilis super illas, usque ad 240–260 µ longis et cum basilaribus pilibus 120–200 µ longis, cum duobus septis; asci operculati, multispori, piriformes, 375–450 longi 250 µ lati apex cum mucilaginoseo annulo in lactophenol-cotton blue monstrante striam ubi dehiscit. Amplius quam 500 ascosporae per ascum, 4.5–5 × 7.5–8 µ leptodermae, hyalinae, leves, nonoleosae, deBary bullae non frequentes; paraphyses angustae, filamentosae, 1.5–1.8 µ diam. simplices vel subpaniculatae in apices, formantes epithecial textum.
