Diagnosis Iodophanus angelensis resembles I. granulipolaris Kimbr., but can be distinguished by the ectal excipulum texture epidermoidea (vs. globularis), ascus size 360-400 × 35- 45 μm (vs. 225-275 × 25-35 μm), and ascopore size 27-31 × 17-20 μm (vs. 23-27 × 14-16 μm).
