Diagnosis Elvela caulescens, solitaria, cartilaginea, fragilis ; pileo membranaceo, inflato, plicato, angulato, superne bicuspidato, pallido ; petiolo plicato, striato, concolore, pleno.
Boletus mitram pontisicis referens, albicans. Rupp. fl. jen. pag. 302.
In pratis humidis & ad ligna putrida obvius vere & autumno.
