Geomorium australianum (B.C. Zhang & Minter) Kraisit., Pfister & M.E. Sm., Persoonia, 44: 105 (2019).

 

Basionym Gymnohydnotrya australiana B.C. Zhang & Minter, Mycol. Res., 92 (2): 193 (1989).

Diagnosis Ascomata subglobosa vel irregularia, pallide brunnea, lobata, involuta, maximae respectu dimensionis usque ad 25 mm lata, in fundamento quaeque brevi cum flocculo, glabra, canaliculus et cavitatibus induta in exteriorem sese aperientibus. Peridium absens. Hymenium et in exteriori et in ascomatis interiori, circa 350 µm latum. Paraphyses septatae, saepius dichotome ramosae, circa 4 µm diam, usque ad 10 µm in apicibus inflatae, saepius nil ascos superantes. Asci cylindrici, 250-300 × 18-25 µm, ad apicem rotundati, saepius octospori, sed nonnumquam cum una vel duabus ascosporis in asco abortis. Ascosporae uniseriatae, sine colore, anguste ellipsoideae, 25-28 × 13-15 µm licet ornamentum excludatur, pariete quaeque indutae 1-2 µm lato, quadri-nucleatae, cum reticulis minutis 1-2 µm alto instar fornicibus, guttulatae.
