Diagnosis Apothecium 14 cm latum, 0.8-3.5 cm altum, cupulatum vel planum. Hymenium "Bister", "Mummy Brown", vel "Smoky Gray". Pagina sterilis colorata simulis hymenio, vel versu stipitem palescenta pruinosa, costata vel plicata; costae obtusae. Margo curvus vel rectus, integer vel laceratus. Stipes usque 2 cm longus, costatus, costae rotundae, pruinosus, albus vel cremeum costatus; costae obtusae. Sporae 23-26(-28) × 13.5-15 µ, oblongae vel ellipsoidae. Paraphyses apicibus 5-8 µ clavato-incrassatis, brunneolae; paries hypharum plerumque 1-1.5 µ crassus. Asci "aporhynchous", 300-360 × 18-23 µ. Ad terram sub silvis coniferus.
