Choiromyces alveolatus (Harkn.) Trappe, Mycotaxon, 2 (1): 114 (1975).

 

Basionym Piersonia alveolata Harkn., Proc. California Acad. Sci., 1 (8): 275 (1899).

Diagnosis Diameter 1 cm., integument scabrous, color white, turning to sulphur; gleba firm, citrine, cut surface showing a large number of orange-colored dots; asci clavate, 60 × 80 µ, pedicel elongated (70 µ), 3-4-spored; spores alveolate, citrine, 24 µ in diam.
