Diagnosis Sporocarpium 3.5 × 4.5 cm, subglobosum, prope album, glabrum. Gleba pallide violaceo-grisea, venis albis ex basi radiantibus. Asci 105-150 × 20-28 µm, sporis (5)7-8, irregulatim cylindrici vel saccati, plerumque flexi, hyalini, non-amyloidei, in hymenio inordinato innati. Sporae 13-16 × 10-12 µm, ellipsoideae, hyalinae, minute verrucose reticulatae, ornamentum 0.2-0.4 µm altum. Holotypus Trappe 7820 (OSC).
