Diagnosis Carposomata turbinata vel pulvinata, non marginata, 1-2.5 mm lata, solitaria. Hymenium violaceo-fuscum, laeve. Facies exterior cinerascens, glabra. Excipulum exterius 50–60 µm crassum e cellulis compositum 30–50 x 15–20 µm magnis, series subparallelas formantibus. Excipulum medullare e hyphis in texturam intricatam dense intertextis formatum. Subhymenium non distinctum. Asci cylindrici, basi plerumque lati, 350–500 µm longi, 40–55 µm lati, omnino manifesto amyloides, maturi prominentes. Sporae globulares, guttula cuique una, primum hyalinae, maturae cinnamomeae, 18.5–22.8 µm diam. omamento excluso e spinis constituto basi 1.5–2.5 (3.5) µm crassis. Sporae juvenes biseriatae, mox uniseriatae. Paraphyses rectae, septatae, sursum sensim incrassatae, 10–14 µm crassitudine attingentes; cellulae inferiores cellulis excipuli medullaris valde similes.
