Diagnosis Ascomata parva (0.5 mm), planiuscula, .disciformia, margine, furfure, pilis omnino deficientibus, pulchre albido-lilacina, tenuiter punctulata. Asci (146–166 : 26–27 µ) numerosi, oblongo-clavati, superne attenuati, apice rotundati, in basin versus stipitiforme angustati. Paraphysae (2–3 µ) graciles, apice obtusatae, indistincte septatae, hyalinae, gelatina omnino deficiente. Sporae (15–18.5 : 8.5–10 µ) pulcherrime lilaceo-violaceae, mox brunneolae, eIIipsoideae, densissime granulis minutissimis acutiusculis obsitae, in asco distiche ordinatae.
Speciem rarissimam semel inveni in stercore putrido cervino e ditione Pressbaum domi per complures menses asservato. (Vere 1889).
