Abstract: Peziza sesiana and P. kallioi are two close species, based on their original description. The revision of an isotype of the first species and study of recent collections of the second allowed to get molecular data that confirm they are not conspecific, although they belong to the same genus, Phylloscypha. This is also an opportunity to publish the first illustrations of Phylloscypha kallioi. An updated phylogeny of Phylloscypha gave the opportunity to combine Peziza thozetii, an Australian species, in this genus. Finally, an updated key to this genus is proposed.
