Basionym Peziza kallioi Harmaja, Karstenia, 26: 46 (1986).
Diagnosis A Peziza badioconfusa praecipue differt mycelio basali apothecii violaceo, sporis brevioribus (15-19 × 7.5-10 µm), forma sporarum ellipsoideo, ornamentatio sporarum dissimili, habitatione dissimili, fructificatione seriore et distributione hyperborea. – Typus: Finland, Inarin Lappi, Inari, Muddusjärvi, Syrminiemi, N of Syvaranta, brookside rich forest, Grid 27°E 7653:493, 9.VIII.1965 Kaarina Makinen (TUR).
