Diagnosis Apothecia dispersa, superficialia, cleistohymenialia, primum globosa, purpurascentia vel pallide brunnea, deinde turbinata, brunnea vel atribrunnea, 1-2 mm diametris crassa, excipulum ectale textura globuloso vel textura angulari et excipulum medullare textura intricata exhibentes . Asci protrudentes, operculo disciforme circe 8-9 µm latum, iodo caerulescentes, octospori, cylindracei, 210-240 × 15-18 µm magni, flavidiores, in apice truncati, basin versus in stipitem 12-15 µm longum contracti. Paraphyses numerosae, filiformes, septatae, in apice circa 5 µm diametro crassae, granula flavida continentes. Ascosporae uniseriates, unicellulares, globosae, 14-17 µm ornamento diametris crassae, primum hyalinae, laeves, parietibus crassis, maturitate confirmata hyalinae vel pallide flavidae, parietibus tenuibus, reticulum interstitiis 2.8-3.5 µm diametris crassis et spinae 1-1.5 µm longae exhibentes. Conidia incognita.
Holotypus: in equorum fimo lectus est, in calle a Manacal ad Los Pocitos vocato, in loco ab Irapa septentrionali-occidentali remoto, in Sucre pago reipublicae Venezuelensis, 13 Quint. 1972, Dumont, Cain, Samuels, Morillo et Farfan VE-4890z. In Torontoensis universitatis Cryptogamarum herbario.
