Diagnosis Apothecia gregarious, sessile, discoid. Disc 1-4 mm in diameter, concave to convex. Hymenium orange. Receptacle subconcolor to the hymenium, with short hairs. Asci 215–255 × 19–23.5 µm, operculate, eight-spored, cylindrical. Ascospores 19.5-21 × 11.5-12.5 µm, ellipsoid, smooth. Medullary excipulum 85-125 µm thick, of textura intricata. Ectal excipulum 125-225 µm thick, of textura globulosa to textura globulosa-angularis or textura angularis. Hairs 40-140 × 9-17 µm, originating from outermost cells of the excipulum, usually curved, obtuse or acuminate, hyaline or yellow-brown, thick-walled, × 1,3-2-2.5 µm, or thin-walled.
Habitat: on cow dung in alpine zone.
