Diagnosis Apothecia ater, minuta, hemisphaerica, 200-500 µm diam, dispersa, superficialia, sine excipulos, ex fasciculus numerosorum ascorum et numerosorum paraphysium circumdatorum ex gleba basali crescentibus composita. Ascosporae brunneae vel memnoniae, unicellulares, 10.5-13 × 6-8.5 µm, longae-ellipticae, muri crassi et confertim verrucati praeter aream ovalim singulum laevum, coaherentes. Asci unitunicati, operculati, in stipitem brevem contracti, 6-8 spori. Paraphyses numerosae, hyalinae, septatae, 3-4 µm; in apice 5-6 µm diam. Conidia incognita. Holotypus: apothecia exsiccata in herbario UAMH (UAMH 4452).
