Trichophaea minuta (Cain) Korf, Persoonia, 7 (2): 194 (1973).

 

Basionym Sphaerospora minuta Cain, Can. J. Bot., 34 (3): 360 (1956).

Diagnosis Mycelio niveo, cano dein pallide brunneo, ex hyphis hyalinis, tenuiter tunicatis, plerumque 5-8 µ diam., septatis composito. Conidiophoris longis, hyalinis, teimuiter tunicatis, dichotome ramosis, ampullas efformantibus. Conidiis globosis vel subglobosis, 6-14 µ (plerumque 9-10 µ), pallide brunneis, levibus. Ascomatibus gregariis, sessilibus, primo globosis, dein subglobosis, versus basim angustatis, 300-1000 µ diam. (plerumque 300-600 µ), extus pallide brunneis, mollibus pilis simplicibus, rectis, rigidis, acutis, numerosis, brunneis 2-3-septatis, usque 250 µ longis, basi 5-10 µ latis vestitis. Hymenio convexiusculo, albido-subcinereo. Excipulo tenui-membranaceo, parenchymatico, pallide brunneis. Ascis octosporis, cylindraceis, 125-160 × 16-19 µ, apice subtruncatis, versus basim abrupte angustatis, breve stipitatis. Paraphysibus 2.5-5 µ diam., filiformibus hyalinis, septatis, ascos superantibus. Ascosporis monostichis, 13-17 µ diam., globosis, hyalinis vel pallide brunneis, uniguttatis, continuis, levibus.
