Diagnosis Ascomata subglobosa vel convoluta, 10-20 × 15-23 mm, juventute pallide avellanea, maturitate tomento brunneo tecta. Gleba solida, cremea, venis gilvis hymenialibus. Sporae globosae, bulla gaseosa, 16-18 (-21) µm in diam, hyalinae, laeves. Asci (6-) 8 spori, juventute clavati vel saccati, maturitate cylindracei, 238-250 × 18-20 µm caulem deminutum 45-60 µm longum includentia. Paraphyses tenus ascis, 2-3 µm in diam, hyalinae, septatae. Tomentum hypharum 4-8 µm in diam, granulatarum. Excipulum externum textura intricata laxa cellulis frequentibus inflatis usque ad 10-20 (-40) µm; excipulum internum similare, arctius. Holotypus leg.
