Kompsoscypha phyllogena (Seaver) Pfister, Mem. New York Bot. Gard., 49: 341 (1989).

 

Basionym Humaria phyllogena Seaver, Mycologia, 17 (2): 46 (1925).

Diagnosis Apothecia sessile or subsessile, discoid or with the margin slightly elevated, reaching a diameter of 3–5 mm., flesh-red, brighter when dry; asci clavate, operculate, reaching a length of 200 µ and a diameter of 12 µ; spores broad-ellipsoid, 12 × 18–20 µ, usually containing two oil drops, smooth.
On dead leaves, El Yunque, Feb. 23-26, 1923.
