Diagnosis A Gyromitra ambigua praecipue differt pileo indistincte obtuse lobato, rugis hymenii satis distinctibus, stipite longiore areolato, apicibus paraphysium amplioribus (7.0-17.0 µm in diam.), et sporis parce brevioribus minus distincte fusiformibus. In vere semel collecta est.
