AB  - Here we show the current knowledge of bryophilous Pezizales in the Canary Islands based on a bibliographic revision. Also, a morpho-taxonomic study of bryophyte-associated fungi of the family Pyronemataceae (Pezizomycetes, Ascomycota) using vital taxonomy was done using collections from Tenerife island. Five species have been identified; two of them are new records for the archipelago (Lamprospora miniata and Lamprospora annulata), one is a new record for Tenerife (Lamprospora pseudoarvensis) and we confirm the presence of Neottiella ricciae and Octospora excipulata in the Canary Islands. We provide for each species a detailed description and iconography, as well as a taxonomic discussion comparing our results with those of other authors.
