AB  - Since Psilocistella quercina was described in 1977, it is considered a doubtful taxon, and therefore not currently accepted. A bibliographic revision, together with recent studies on collections from France and the Canary Islands (Spain) are used to provide evidence about its relevance. A provisional key to the genus is also given
