AB  - The first French gatherings of Otidea caligata (Nyl.) Sacc., a species growing under spruces, are signaled. A detailed description and illustrations are given in this note. This taxon was not registered outside Scandinavia, but it has been probably gathered somewhere else in Europe and named O. abietina. The question of its synonymy with O. cantharella is also discussed
