AB  - The first Italian records of Hymenoscyphus trichosporus are here reported, based on two collections from the Alps of Piedmont, both in Gran Paradiso National Park and Val Formazza. All the features of this species are described and compared to those of the similar ones. Coloured slides of fresh material referring to the Italian records are offered
