abstract = {A detailed description of Striatibotrys alpina sp. nov. is presented, based on a collection on dead stems of Adenostyles alpina (Asteraceae) in the French Alps. The fungus was cultured and sequenced, but did not sporulate in culture. The placement of this species in Striatibotrys L. Lombard & Crous is based on morphological characters and phylogenetic comparison of its ITS and LSU sequences with the most similar genus Stachybotrys Corda.}}
