Basionym Otidea alutacea var. parvispora Parslow & Spooner, Ascomycete.org, 7 (6): 297 (2015).

Diagnosis Pale fawn coloured, macroscopically as in the typical variety of Otidea alutacea (Pers.) Massee, differing only in the pale hymenium which dries buff, and microscopically in less yellow pigmentation on cell walls in the medullary excipulum and subhymenium, in smaller ascospores and shorter asci than those of the typical variety.
