The workshop will take place in the Pyrenees Mountains, at Saint-Lary-Soulan (France, Hautes-Pyrénées) from Saturday August, 23 in the afternoon to Saturday August 30 after breakfast. The detailed foray program will be worked out by the local organizers Beñat Jeannerot and Gilles Corriol.
Accomodation and catering: we will be housed at the holiday residence Ramondies (see attached pdf), full pension provided. A well-adapted workroom will be provided. Accommodation will consist in 3-persons apartments, including access to the residence services. In the village, different local shops can be found along with a petrol station, a photo lab…
Fare: 350 €, full pension included for the whole stay.
Outings: mostly in subalpine zone, with a possibility to get to alpine zone after some walk. In case of bad weather, alternative excursions will be possible in mountainous forests (typical Pyrenean Abies/Fagus woods). Excursion planned sites can be reached within a 15 to 45 min drive.
Access to the holiday village:
- By car, Motorway A64, exit: Lannemezan-Montréjeau, then 30 km on national road; through the Aragnouet-Bielsa tunnel for the Spanish colleagues.
- By train, to Tarbes railway station.
- By plane, to Tarbes or Pau airports or Toulouse airport + train to Tarbes.
The organizers will propose a lift from the railway station or airports on August 23 morning and backwards during August 30 all day long.
Booking: in order to facilitate the organization within the above given conditions, full week stays will be privileged. The number of attendees will be limited to 20~25. For shorter stays, accommodation shall be booked by attendees themselves elsewhere.
