Taxonomic position: Morchellaceae, Morchella

Basionym: Morchella magnispora Büyükalaca, H.H. Doğan & Taşkın, Mycotaxon, 131: 475 (2016).

Diagnosis: Differs from Morchella brunnea and M. fekeensis, its reciprocally monophyletic sister species, by its stipe turning honey-brown with age, its narrow sulcus, its genealogical exclusivity in a multigene phylogenetic analysis, and its apparent endemism in Turkey
